Broadcast Email Group
Information

DCS uses several Broadcast email groups for communication of various announcements, information, etc. 
The following groups have been defined:

Newsletter Notification email group (newsletter@list.denver-christian.org

  • An email message is sent to the list of email addresses in this group each week after the newest campus newsletters have been posted.  Newsletters are also available directly on the website on the Newsletter page.
  • All parents in the DCS system who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  newsletter@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the broadcast Newsletter Notification group and will receive messages sent to this newsletter group from now on.

All DCS Parents email group (DCS_All@list.denver-christian.org

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all DCS Parents.
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification of school cancellation due to weather.
  • All parents in the DCS system who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_All@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All DCS Parent group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

All High School Parents email group (DCS_HighSchool@list.denver-christian.org

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all High School Parents. 
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification about a change in scheduling for a High School-only event. 
  • All parents of high school students who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_HighSchool@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All High School Parent group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

All Highlands Ranch K-8 Parents email group
(DCS_HighlandsRanchK-8@list.denver-christian.org

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all Highlands Ranch K-8 Parents. 
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification of a change in a Highlands Ranch K-8 only event.
  • All parents of Highlands Ranch K-8 students who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_HighlandsRanchK-8@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All Highlands Ranch K-8 Parent group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

All Van Dellen K-8 Parents email group (DCS_VanDellenK-8@list.denver-christian.org

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all Van Dellen K-8 Parents.  
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification of a change of a Van Dellen K-8 only event.
  • All parents of Van Dellen K-8 students who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_VanDellenK-8@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All Van Dellen K-8 Parent group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

All Preschool Parents email group (DCS_Preschool@list.denver-christian.org

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all Highlands Ranch Preschool and Van Dellen Preschool Parents.  
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification of a preschool-only scheduling change.
  • All parents of preschool students who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_Preschool@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All Preschool Parent group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

All Alumni email group (DCS_Alumni@list.denver-christian.org

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all DCHS Alumni.  
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification about the Alumni Night for basketball.
  • All DCHS Alumni who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_Alumni@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All Alumni group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

All Society email group (DCS_Society@list.denver-christian.org) 

  • This email list is used for communications that are applicable to all DCS Society members. (This includes parents, alumni, and other DCS supporters).  
  • An example message sent using this group:  notification of the next society meeting.
  • All DCS Society members who had an email address on file with the school as of September 5, 2008 is part of this group.  Any email address that has subscribed since that date is also part of this group.
  • If you want to receive emails sent to this group:
    1. Click on the following email link:  DCS_Society@list.denver-christian.org
    2. In the "Subject" field of the email message, input:  SUBSCRIBE
    3. Click SEND.
    4. The email address that sent this message will automatically be added to the All Society group and will receive messages sent to this group from now on.

Please Note:

  • If you want to be removed for any of the Broadcast Email Groups listed above:
    1. Using your email tool, create a new email message
    2. In the "To" field, input:  [the email group's email address]
    3. In the "Subject" field, input UNSUBSCRIBE
    4. Click SEND
    5. The email address that sent this message will automatically be removed from the broadcast email group.
  • No one can send emails to these broadcast email groups without authorization.  (The email groups are password protected and can only be used to send messages by authorized DCS staff).
  • Please check your spam filters to make sure that messages sent from these broadcast email addresses are accepted, otherwise, you may not receive the email messages sent using these groups.
