About DCS

At Denver Christian Schools we emphasize the power of the church, the home and the school working together as a three-legged stool to shape a student's life and worldview. At DCS you will discover rigorous academics along with outstanding athletic and fine arts programs, interwoven into a nurturing community. Students are challenged to use their individual talents to do God's work through their life work.

We Offer a Christ-Centered Academic Experience
DCS can serve up to 1200 students across its three campuses allowing for a close-knit educational experience. Weekly chapels, regular service projects and Bible classes help mature our students in their faith. Our curriculum is comprehensive and traditional in all grades and includes strong programs in music, drama, and art. Emphasis is placed on development of the ability to critique culture and to evaluate all of life from a Christian worldview.

Our Students are Top Performers
Denver Christian Schools has established a long-held reputation for academic excellence. Our educational perspective consistently delivers superior performance, including top-level achievement on standardized tests including the SAT and ACT tests for high school students, and Iowa Tests of Basic Skills for elementary and middle school students. About 99% of our high school students graduate. Dropping out is not an issue at our school. 94% of our graduates successfully go on to college. Clearly, DCS sets long-term life goals in the hearts and minds of its students.

DCS is Well Known for Athletic Excellence
Our fine athletic program begins in middle school where all students are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports. At the high school level, DCS is a competitive member of the Metropolitan League 3A classification. Our students compete in basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, track, baseball, golf, and cheerleading.

DCS Reflects the Body of Christ in all its Diversity

We believe our student body should accurately reflect the body of Christ in all its diversity. We want our school family to be represented by our world’s various cultures. We want tomorrow’s leaders to experience the outstanding educational programs that we offer so that they in turn can influence their world with Christ's love and transforming power. As one of Denver’s foremost Christian education institutions since 1916, our academic record is outstanding. Our students, staff and parents are socially and globally aware, participating in exciting local, regional and international outreach projects that broaden their horizons.
